I am a visual artist based in Midlothian, Scotland. I create paintings of woodland landscapes and gnarled trees that I come across on my walks through nature. These woodlands are mainly in Scotland with some abroad in Europe and Canada. I create them using water mixable oil paint on canvas to avoid extra fumes whilst working at home.

I moved to Edinburgh from the West Coast of Canada in 2020 and soon picked up Candle making as a hobby. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a true passion. I started Black Bear & Pine in late 2022 and now offer a range of candles, wax melts, and room sprays. All my scents are inspired by my memories growing up in Canada and of the rugged beauty of its wilderness. I hand-pour all the candles and melts in small batches using paraben-free vegan wax and quality fragrance oil. The room sprays are skin safe and use an atomizer spray pump to give a nice misted spray. All materials are sourced within the UK and the products are packaged with sustainable, recyclable materials with as little plastic as possible. My goal is to share a little of Canada’s spirit — with scents that offer warmth, comfort, and a connection to Canada's nature.

Monchi creates a wide range of illustrative watercolours and screen-printed originals and prints, while producing their first 'muted' graphic novel "The Beewitch". As an autistic queer migrant, Monchi explores themes like identity and belonging. Coming from Spain, Magic Realism has a huge influence on their artistic expression, giving a sense of whimsical charm to the mundane. From "The Lamppost Project" to "The Beewitch", from grief to joy; the autistic brain is incredible.
